No words. Just Chelsea's reaction to a little push back from Martin. She had never considered that Martin might be just as confused as she is. Will she finally decide to slug Martin or just calm down and listen?

Then they said to him, “What shall we do to you, that the sea may be calm to us?” For the sea grew more and more stormy. He said to them, “Take me up, and throw me into the sea. Then the sea will be calm for you; for I know that because of me this great storm is on you.”
Jonah 1:11-12 WMB

Again, no words. Feel free to comment on what Chelsea might be thinking. My guess is... "Maybe I won't kill him after all."

So the ship master came to him, and said to him, “What do you mean, sleeper? Arise, call on your God! Maybe your God will notice us, so that we won’t perish.”
Jonah 1:6 WMB

Martin's matter of fact responses may get him killed... but not today. One thing I like about Chelsea is that she is not a weak character. She is just very lost.

"They wandered in the wilderness in a desert way. They found no city to live in. Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them. Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them out of their distresses,"
Psalm 107:4-6 WMB

"But you said you were already calm." Martin's gullibility is revealed... it actually may be more a state of total confusion about being interrogated in his room by someone he barely knows.

"Wake up! Rise up to defend me, my God! My Lord, contend for me! Vindicate me, LORD my God, according to your righteousness. Don’t let them gloat over me."
Psalm 35:23-24 WMB

Martin says "It's a long story." We're only on issue 2. It's actually more of a short story... unless you feel the need to go all the way back to creation. Then it becomes a really long story.

"All things were made through him. Without him, nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness hasn’t overcome it."
John 1:3-5 WMB
