Scott loves this page. It features a bunch of images of Spiritman and Martin talking. Simple images and the text really takes over. I like this page too because it is a timely explanation of Spiritman's connection to Martin and the scope of his superpowers. Let the writer shine! I am also quietly pleased with how the shading turned out on the side plane of Martin's face.

“Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the LORD’s glory has risen on you. For, behold, darkness will cover the earth, and thick darkness the peoples; but the LORD will arise on you, and his glory shall be seen on you."
Isaiah 60:1-2 WMB

Spiritman is spirit. That spiritual side of Martin that is able to transcend the physical realm. Spiritman is what Martin is like in the Spiritual realm.

But the LORD said to Samuel, “Don’t look on his face, or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him; for I don’t see as man sees. For man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.”
1 Samuel 16:7 WMB

I am glad that Martin is not accepting Spiritman's explanation without questions. It is good to inspect carefully every idea, philosophy and belief.

"Beloved, don’t believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit who confesses that Yeshua the Messiah has come in the flesh is of God,"
1 John 4:1-2 WMB

I love Martin's sarcasm. It shows up in both Martin and Spiritman... which makes sense because they are the same person. Let's just remember that we are in a superhero story so the fantastic is the order of the day.

That which is born of the flesh is flesh. That which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Don’t marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born anew.’ The wind blows where it wants to, and you hear its sound, but don’t know where it comes from and where it is going. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit."
John 3:6-8 WMB

We live in an age where we automatically accept as truth anything that is material and we are automatically skeptical of anything that pertains to the spirit. What if those were flipped?

"Where could I go from your Spirit? Or where could I flee from your presence? If I ascend up into heaven, you are there. If I make my bed in Sheol, behold, you are there! If I take the wings of the dawn, and settle in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there your hand will lead me, and your right hand will hold me."
Psalm 139:7-10 WMB

Another one of Spiritman's superpowers is revealed... clarity of thought.

"Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God."
Romans 12:2 WMB

One time Scott told me that the cool thing about Spiritman is that I could actually be Spiritman. I'm never going crawl up walls or wear a magic ring but I can actually wear the armor of God. Something to think about.

"above all, taking up the shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word* of God;"
Ephesians 6:16-17 WMB

Our strength comes from a connection to the father. That is our real super power... not just a pretend power, a real one.

“Most certainly I tell you, he who believes in me, the works that I do, he will do also; and he will do greater works than these, because I am going to my Father."
John 14:12 WMB
