The Spiritman Update can be read like a devotional. It follows the comics panel by panel mixed with commentary from the creators and a dose of scripture.

Sorry I have not posted in awhile... I have had the flu and I didn't want anyone else to catch it (ha ha). Feeling better now though. Back to the comic... doors pop open when there was no door there before... still in a dream.
"Salt is good, but if the salt becomes flat and tasteless, with what do you season it? It is fit neither for the soil nor for the manure pile. It is thrown out. He who has ears to hear, let him hear.”
Luke 14:34-35 WMB

Martin's thoughts here are meant to be read in connection with the guy in the inset panel. He is the "shadowy figure" from last issue. We have encountered him before but Martin has not.
For if he were on earth, he would not be a priest at all, seeing there are priests who offer the gifts according to the Torah, who serve a copy and shadow of the heavenly things, even as Moses was warned by God when he was about to make the tabernacle, for he said, “See, you shall make everything according to the pattern that was shown to you on the mountain.”
Hebrews 8:4-5 WMB

Anybody else have a hard time with focus? I can definitely relate to Martin.
"Brothers, I don’t regard myself as yet having taken hold, but one thing I do: forgetting the things which are behind, and stretching forward to the things which are before, 14 I press on toward the goal for the prize of the high calling of God in Messiah Yeshua.”
Philippians 3:13-14 WMB
Spiritman Daily Dose 227

This dream Martin is having is supposed to somehow answer his questions about Spiritman. Yet events are happening with a high degree of randomness. Will Martin realize he has something of value to offer his friends? Will he speak back to these events?
“Why do you sleep? Rise and pray that you may not enter into temptation.”
Luke 22:46 WMB
Spiritman Daily Dose 228

The dream setting returns to the building ledge. Spiritman is back and people are weirdly walking about. Martin wonders what his place is in all of this.
Then David the king went in, and sat before the LORD; and he said, “Who am I, Lord GOD, and what is my house, that you have brought me this far?"
2 Samuel 7:18 WMB

Hello! My name is Amanda. I am a teenager, an aspiring Christian author, and a hopeless superhero addict. I just wanted to thank you two for writing those books. Their message came to me at a time when I needed it. They gave me hope. Keep writing and never give up.
