Spiritman Daily Dose 229

Christian Superhero Comics

Spiritman reaches out to touch Martin's friends but with all his superpowers he is unable to connect. Martin understands this to be his place in the dream.

"Just as a body is dead without a spirit, so faith is dead without actions."
James 2:26 OEB

Spiritman Daily Dose 230

While this is happening in a dream Martin seems to have a lot of conscious control. Have you ever had dreams like that? I have... but not very often.

"Pray that, in telling it, I may speak fearlessly as I ought."
Ephesians 6:20 OEB

Learning to leave space for the dialogue balloons has been a real challenge for me. The art is made at a larger size than what is finally printed. You have to leave more space than you think. It is sometimes painful when the art gets covered. But the words are vital... so I press on.

Jesus rose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Hush! Be still!” Then the wind dropped, and a great calm followed.
Mark 4:39 OEB

If you are just now checking in and haven't read the last few panels you should know that the thought balloons are for Martin. He is in the midst of an ongoing thought that transcends several panels. Ok... now you are up to speed.

"But by the seed which was sown on the good ground is meant the person who hears the message and understands it, and really yields a return."
Matthew 13:23 OEB

Spiritman Daily Dose 233

Christian Superhero Comics

Martin just shared with people about his faith. Some received it positively. Others get very angry. It is definitely a risk to share your faith but one that is worth taking. The work God has done in your heart is valuable and worth sharing.

"When anyone hears the message of the kingdom without understanding it, the evil one comes and snatches away what has been sown in their mind."
Matthew 13:19 OEB
