The Spiritman Update can be read like a devotional. It follows the comics panel by panel mixed with commentary from the creators and a dose of scripture.

Spiritman Daily Dose 55

Let's be honest... Chelsea is just having the worst day ever
"The sun will be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and terrible day of the LORD comes."
Joel 2:31 WMB
Spiritman Daily Dose 56

We keep asking ourselves, "Is this a story about Martin or Chelsea?" Maybe we will decide that when we are finished.
"When my spirit was overwhelmed within me, you knew my route. On the path in which I walk, they have hidden a snare for me."
Psalm 142:3 WMB
Spiritman Daily Dose 57

When we started doing the comic we would commonly ask, "Who is Martin Taylor?" We really struggled to answer that question until we put Martin into action. Faith in God is a little like that. You have to act in faith so that you can better understand God.
"But be doers of the word, and not only hearers, deluding your own selves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man looking at his natural face in a mirror; for he sees himself, and goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. But he who looks into the perfect Torah of freedom and continues, not being a hearer who forgets, but a doer of the work, this man will be blessed in what he does."
James 1:22-25 WMB
Spiritman Daily Dose 58

Do you know me? That is an interesting question. Can people tell what I believe simply by observing my actions? If I believe in Jesus do people see Jesus in me? Or is it hidden by a "secret id?"
"Nathanael said to him, “How do you know me?”
Yeshua answered him, “Before Philip called you, when you were under the fig tree, I saw you."
John 1:48 WMB

Getting close enough to someone to really know them is a scary thing for Chelsea so she runs away. Martin has the greatest story ever told living in his heart but he is afraid to share it. Stop holding back, Martin.
"As for me, I have not hurried from being a shepherd after you. I haven’t desired the woeful day. You know. That which came out of my lips was before your face."
Jeremiah 17:16 WMB

Hello! My name is Amanda. I am a teenager, an aspiring Christian author, and a hopeless superhero addict. I just wanted to thank you two for writing those books. Their message came to me at a time when I needed it. They gave me hope. Keep writing and never give up.
